Hello, for the challenge this week  Barbara will be your Host and Designer.  We hope you will play along!

Chalkboard techniqueThe challenge this week is to use this technique on your project!

You can find this technique on Youtube.com  here   Have fun!

Unabashedly upbeat. That’s pretty much the spirit ’round here!

Power Poppy appreciates the small moments of life just as much as the milestones, the inspiration you can find anywhere and everywhere. We want to soak in goodness and give back more goodness.

$25 to the Power Poppy Store. You can use your Digis or clear stamps!

Barbara’s Card

I started out with a base of Navy.  In  this technique, it is good to use a dark base.  Then I stamped, Planning for Magnolias stamp set from Power Poppy, with Versamark ink and embossed with white EP.   I used my white Prismacolor pencil, to color in the flowers and leaves. I used a little color on the center to add dimension. The sentiment is from Power Poppy, Lilac Time stamp set.  I added some dots with my white gel pen around the flowers and navy pearls from my stash.  The plaid paper is from My Favorite Things, Plaid Patterns.

Have fun with this one, and I am looking forward to seeing what you all do.

I really enjoyed this tutorial. I am not an experienced stamper or card-maker, but this tutorial was very helpful to me, and everything was so clearly explained. I enjoyed watching, learning, and creating my card. Thank you for the tutorial. It really helped me. I gave it my best shot!

Hello Annie #9 in this challenge. I am not able get to your blog to leave a comment. It just goes back to the Mod Squad.

  7. Karen Letchworth

    Hi Barbara:
Thank you for this awesome video for the chalkboard technique. I’m smitten with this technique and had so much fun making my cards for the challenge. I tried to leave all the participants some love (comments) for entering, but couldn’t comment on one entrant because I’m not “registered” (entries 2 & 7), and had the same trouble you did with Annie’s card (#9). But I enjoyed peeking at the rest and leaving a comment. Thank you so much for this fun challenge. I look forward to seeing what’s next. Great challenge!
